How a Workshop Job Works

From Booking to Pickup

  1. Tell Tony what is going on. Send the year, make and model, the symptoms and whether the vehicle starts and drives.
  2. Book a drop-off time. Bring the vehicle in at the booked time, or tow it in if it will not drive. Concierge pickup and return is available as a paid add-on.
  3. Diagnosis first. Tony finds the cause in the workshop before recommending anything.
  4. You approve the plan before any work starts. What is wrong, what it takes to fix and how long it should take.
  5. A final check before you pick it up. Tony checks the repair and walks you through what was done.

What Gets Done Here

Engine Rebuilds and Replacements

Engines come apart here, get cleaned and inspected, and are measured before anyone recommends a path. Tolerance checks (bearing clearances, bore and crankshaft measurements) show whether the block is worth rebuilding or whether a replacement engine makes more sense. Rebuilt or replaced, the assembly and installation happen in this workshop.

Rebuild or replace? How Tony decides →

Tolerance and Timing Checks

An engine is only as good as its clearances and its timing. Parts are measured against the manufacturer’s specifications during assembly, and timing chains and belts are set up and verified before the engine runs. That is the difference between an engine that was put together and one that was built to spec.

Transmission Rebuilds and Replacements

Transmission work starts with a diagnosis: shifting, slipping, fluid condition and codes. If the transmission has to come out, the removal, rebuild or replacement and the reinstall are all done here.

Walnut Blasting (Intake Carbon Cleaning)

On direct-injection engines, fuel no longer washes over the backs of the intake valves, so carbon can build up there over time. Heavy deposits can cause rough idle, misfires and lost power. Walnut blasting uses crushed walnut shell media to clean the valves back to metal with the intake off.

Diesel, Hot Rods and Restoration

Diesel diagnosis and repair, hot rod builds and restoration projects all need time on a lift and space to work. That is what the workshop is for.

Diagnostics First

Every job starts with finding the cause: scan tools, live data and targeted tests, not guesses. That includes no-start problems, warning lights and electrical faults.

Workshop Questions

Can I just drop my car off?

Yes, by appointment. The workshop is based at Bayshore Ranch and has no walk-in counter, so call or text (239) 397-2048 to book a drop-off time. The drop-off details come with your booking.

What if my car won’t drive?

Tow it in at the booked drop-off time. Concierge pickup and return is also available as a paid add-on; ask when you book.

Do you rebuild engines and transmissions?

Yes. Engines and transmissions are rebuilt or replaced in the workshop. For engines, Tony tears it down and measures it first, so the rebuild-or-replace decision is based on what the parts show.

What is walnut blasting?

Walnut blasting cleans carbon deposits off the intake valves using crushed walnut shell media. It is most often needed on direct-injection engines, where fuel no longer washes over the valves and carbon builds up over time.

Do you work on diesels, hot rods and restorations?

Yes. Diesel repair, hot rod work and restoration projects are all done in the workshop.
