Paint
Three-step paint correction
The three steps
- Compound cuts swirls and scratches. A cutting compound on a firm pad levels the clear coat through the marks you see in the sun.
- Polish refines the finish. Compound leaves its own haze. Polish takes that haze off and brings the gloss back.
- Finish and protect. The panel is wiped clean, then a protection layer goes on so the fresh clear coat is not left bare.
Why this comes before a coating
Paint correction comes before a coating. A ceramic coating bonds to the clear coat that is already there. If the swirls are still in it, the coating seals those defects in. The coating goes on after correction. A scratch that catches a fingernail may already be through the clear. That spot needs paint, not more compound. Paint work is a different job, and we look at the panel before any machine touches it.
Protection
Ceramic coating
What it is
Ceramic coating is a liquid that cures into a thin hard layer bonded to the paint. It is not wax, and it is not a new clear coat. It goes on after correction, once the swirls and light scratches have been leveled.
What it protects against, and how it differs from wax
On a Fort Myers car it stands up to sun, salt air, bugs and water spots from sprinklers and rain. Wax sits on the paint and washes off. Ceramic bonds to the paint and holds up through more washes than a coat of wax. You still wash the car. It does not stop a rock chip, and it does not hide damage that was already in the paint.
Interior
Black light interior cleaning
A black light is a UV light. Stains, body fluids and residue that the eye misses will glow under it, especially on dark cloth and carpet. Daylight and a shop light walk right past a lot of that. We scan the seats, carpet, headliner and crevices, then clean the spots the light finds. Use it when the cabin smells wrong and you cannot see why, or when you want a used car's interior checked before you buy it.
Odors
Ozone treatment for smoke and odor removal
Ozone is a gas that breaks odor molecules apart. Smoke, pet, mildew and food smells soak into the carpet, the seats, the headliner and the vent ducts. A spray on the surface does not reach those ducts. The car sits closed during treatment so the ozone stays in the cabin and moves through the vents, instead of leaking out the doors. After treatment the car is aired out before anyone sits in it. Ozone treats the smell. If a leak is still wetting the carpet, mildew comes back until that leak is fixed. We will say so when the odor is coming from a wet floor, not only from old smoke.

FAQ
Common Questions
Why does paint correction come before ceramic coating?
Correction levels swirls and light scratches in the clear coat first. A ceramic coating bonds to the paint that is already there, so it goes on after correction.
How is ceramic coating different from wax?
Wax sits on the paint and washes off. Ceramic coating bonds to the paint. It helps with sun, salt air, bugs and water spots, and it holds up through more washes than wax. It does not stop a rock chip.
What does a black light show in the cabin?
A UV light makes stains, body fluids and residue glow when normal light misses them. We mark those spots, then clean them out of the seats, carpet and crevices.
Why does the car stay closed for an ozone treatment?
Ozone has to stay in the cabin long enough to move through the vents and break down smoke, pet, mildew and food odors. Open doors let the gas leak out before it can do that work. The car is aired out before you sit in it again.
